Course Description: This is a beginner-friendly introduction to the Italian language that meets online twice a week. Whether you are interested in enhancing your Italian travel experiences, connecting deeper with Italian food or culture, being able to speak with Italian friends or family, or in challenging yourself in a new way, there is a welcoming, low-stress place for you in this class. This course is designed to give you a strong grounding in the basics of this beautiful language while also giving you the chance to start speaking right away.  Our classes closely follow the required textbooks, and you will find that, as a native Italian, I often supplement the text with real-world examples of how Italians really speak and use these phrases in their everyday lives. I also use handouts and send you links of our class recordings to review. I love teaching Italian and look forward to being your guide on your new language journey! You learn to conjugate verbs in the present tense, count, and tell time.  Required Text: A Self-Teaching Guide by Edoarde Lébano. We will cover Chapters 1-6.
