Course Description: This is a beginner-friendly introduction to the Italian language that meets online once a week. Whether you are interested in enhancing your Italian travel experiences, connecting deeper with Italian food or culture, being able to speak with Italian friends or family, or in challenging yourself in a new way, there is a welcoming, low-stress place for you in this class. This course is designed to give you a strong grounding in the basics of this beautiful language while also giving you the chance to start speaking right away.  Our classes closely follow the required textbooks, and you will find that, as a native Italian, I often add games and opportunity to converse immediately. I also use visual handouts, provide exercises and send you links of our class recordings to review. I’d love meeting you and begin a wonderful journey with you. What we learn with pleasure we never forget. Course Goals: By the end of the class, you will be able to introduce yourself, shop, order in a restaurant, and take a train or bus. You learn to conjugate verbs in the present tense, count, and tell time.  Required book: A Self-Teaching Guide by Edoardo Lébano.
